Ultimate-Performance Electrostatic Center Speaker Designed primarily to serve as the center in a home theater incorporating other XStatTM-based MartinLogan electrostatic speakers, StageTM is versatile enough to handle left-, right-, and surround-channel duties as well. A single-pivot bracket/stand facilitates set-top, shelf, on-wall, or on-floor placement. StageTM is a highly evolved expression of the ideas and engineering that spawned the legendary LogosTM and TheaterTM center-channel speakers. Incorporating many of our most refined technologies, including a state-of-the-art XStatTM electrostatic panel, twin 6.5-inch aluminum-cone woofers, and highly sophisticated VojtkoTM crossover, Stage sets a new standard for performance in that function. The precision and intelligibility of its center-channel reproduction are unrivaled. Stage also takes versatility to the next level, working extremely well as a main or surround speaker, mounted on- or off-wall, horizontally or vertically. Only a handful of speakers - our finest floorstanding electrostats - match or outperform it in any of these applications, and none outpace it in all of them. HD-XStatTM (Hybrid Dynamic) Technology What really sets the Stage apart is a high-resolution neodymium soft dome tweeter embedded directly in the electrostatic panel. By eliminating the need for a bulky tweeter-housing mounted in front of the ESL panel (as found on the Cinema and Theater center channels), the Stage all but eliminates high-frequency diffraction. This unique mounting system also increases mid-range/high-frequency phase coherence and time alignment while offering superior dispersion characteristics (compared to previous MartinLogan center channels).
